BRETTE WAYNE
Born and raised in Long Beach, NY, Brette fell in love with weddings when she was just eight years old. She was asked to be a junior bridesmaid in her cousin’s wedding and has fond memories of the day—the matching dresses, her flower crown, walking down the aisle. Since that day, she knew she wanted to be part of people’s Big Day in a big way. She went on to receive a degree in hospitality and event management from Indiana University before moving to New York City to work in catering and event planning. Brette uses her 10 years of experience to bring her clients’ dream weddings into reality.

I go back and forth between the two. Right now, I’m loving being a night owl. Mainly because that means sleeping in. But nothing compares to waking up early and accomplishing so much before others even wake up (but only if it’s followed by a nap)!
-
Breakfast for dinner! Could be eggs, yogurt parfaits, acai bowls, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, or toast. I love, love, love everything about breakfast!
-
Spanish. My dream vacation spot is Spain—I’ve traveled a lot throughout my life, but have never been there. I’m dying to try the cuisine and visit the beaches.
ISABEL RENAUD
Isabel’s passion for event planning began at a very young age in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Growing up, she would watch her grandmothers lovingly create beautiful tablescapes and prepare elaborate meals for her family. As her interest for event planning grew, Isabel went on to study hospitality management and wedding planning in college. She then moved to Paris to learn culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu and attend Flower School. Needless to say, Isabel loves every aspect of event planning (and has seven years of professional experience to show for it). But the aspect she loves the most? Bringing her clients’ vision to life—from curating menus and picking out china to streamlining vendors and creating seating assignments. Isabel’s attention to detail and calm demeanor helps alleviate the stress of wedding planning, allowing her couples to simply enjoy their big day.

I’ll never forget the first wedding I led. I had just set up the dessert table with a beautiful 3-tiered wedding cake and some sweet bites. Before the cake cutting ceremony or any photos had been taken, the bride's aunt took a knife and went straight to the cake and carved herself a generous slice. I ran over so fast! I took the cake to the kitchen, worked with the chef to smooth the edges and fill the missing piece, and ultimately saved the day. I’ll never forget Aunt Sheryl!

Hands down, Crazy Rich Asian. When the bride walks down the aisle filled with water and flowers…it’s simply breathtaking and magical! Such a beautiful and emotional scene.

“Don’t stress over things you have no control over.” I apply this to every aspect of my life and it has come in handy at many of my weddings. It helps me prepare what I can control and stay super calm regardless of the situation.
JULIE BUCHENHOLZ
Julie brings her warm personality and extensive experience to every event she plans. Born and raised in Miami, she attended The George Washington University as a NCAA water polo player and business student. The experience taught her the importance of planning, networking, and collaboration. These skills, coupled with her flair for design and fashion, attracted her to the New York City event scene over a decade ago. Before joining the RBE team, she planned events for Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast, WWD, Beauty Inc. Summits, OK! Magazine, and Don Julio, to name a few. When she’s not producing show-stopping events, she’s managing the day-to-day events of her husband and two beautiful young children.

My Bat Mitzvah! The theme was CAMP Julie and no detail was spared—from the candy bar “Canteen” to the “care package” giveaways. I loved ideating with my mom to create the most special party for my friends and family. We even asked our guests for donations to help send underprivileged kids to an amazing weekend camp I worked at every year.

I love that every day is different. There are limitless opportunities available and you can plan in a moment’s notice. I love the access to top-notch live theater, the street vendors, the camaraderie of the morning commute, the smells of Levain, the kids scootering down the street, the food scene… the list goes on and on.
LIZZIE TORRANCE
Born and raised in Indiana, Lizzie’s love for joyous occasions began in the first grade when she was a flower girl in her aunt’s wedding. After graduating from the University of Dayton in Ohio, she moved to New York City to become a teacher in the Bronx. On the weekends, her passion lead her to freelance for various event planning companies. She finally decided to pursue her passion full-time and began working at Brooklyn Winery on their events team. It was there that she met Rachel and went on to join team RBE. Lizzie loves creating beautiful events, unique experiences, and getting to know her clients. When she’s not planning events, you can find her running in Central Park, baking for friends and family, and finding new adventures throughout the city.

I’d love to have both! A band for the first part of the evening and then a DJ to carry us off into the after party. As long as everyone’s on the dance floor!
-
I’d love to be on Below Deck on Bravo! It would be amazing to travel, work in beautiful locations, and still be able to use my love for events. I’m also obsessed with Bravo—so that would be a bonus.

My mom is my biggest inspiration! She’s a business owner, single mother, marathon runner…the list goes on and on. She inspires me in every aspect of life and is my biggest cheerleader.
